Missing teeth can negatively impact the smile in many different ways. In addition to causing the smile to look imperfect, it can affect one’s ability to eat and speak properly. It can also cause a host of problems if not addressed early enough, including shifting teeth and misalignment of the bite. However, patients have a lot of options to choose from in dental practices today when it comes to tooth replacement. In fact, our Calgary, AB area practice can provide restoration of a full arch of teeth with the use of all-on-four implants, also referred to as “Teeth in a Day.”
What are “Teeth in a Day?”
The dentists of Living Wellness Dental Dorchester describe Teeth in a Day as a treatment that utilizes the placement of several dental implants along the dental arch that connect with a full denture. In doing this, patients can have their smile restored immediately in our dental office. The dental implants are placed during oral surgery, and then made to allow a full denture to snap into place and restore the smile. In doing so, patients can leave the dental office with their brand-new smile, the day of surgery!
Who is a candidate for all-on-four implants?
Not everyone is a proper candidate for Teeth in a Day. Your eligibility can be determined during a consultation appointment and initial evaluation with our team. Teeth in a Day requires clients with substantial structure remaining in the jaw bone. If there is not enough bone, the implant may not take, and surgery can be unsuccessful. X-rays are used to determine a client’s candidacy for implants.
